The Mountain Dance
THE MOUNTAIN DANCE - MIXED MEDIA DRAWINGS ON PAPER, PRODUCED DURING REHEARSALS WITH SPIRALARTS DANCE THEATRE COMPANY
The Mountain dance drawings became more painterly and layered. There was experimentation with returning to a drawing and completing it during more than one rehearsal session. Each of the larger pieces, therefore, represent different sections of the Mountain dance. And as these sections of the dance evolved through rehearsals, the changing energy, emphasis and feeling of these through time are reflected in some of these pieces. As the dance evolved, the drawings evolved in layers.
